Hey, I'm back! In June, of course.

This was a story I started a very long time ago, but I hesitated to finish and post it because it's a darker than my other stories. However, I'm older now and don't care.

Pairing: Dr. Parker/Edgar

I seem to have a habit of updating this journal in June.

I wrote a fanfic for [livejournal.com profile] rd_challenge. Please go and vote!

Wow, it's been over two years since my last post. Rest assured, I've still been creative although school, work, and my sanity have been taking precedence.

I finally got around to posting the icons I've made. I'm still experimenting with icon making, so hopefully future ones will be much better. Please credit if you're going to use them (although I don't know why you would).

There'll be a post with some drawings and crochet projects I did soon.

Wow, it's been a while, hasn't it? Here's the fourth story in the series, inspired by the song Crazy for You.

So I'd almost completely forgotten about the series of Harry Potter fics that i'm supposed to be writing. I don't have anything new for that, but [livejournal.com profile] dejected_yellow requested this story, so I wrote this instead.

Fandom: Harry Potter
Title: Your Eyes
Author: Kaguya
Pairing: Ron/Hermione
Rating: G
Warnings: Except for cuteness, none!
Requested: Ron/Hermione based on the song Your Eyes from Rent. Cuteness and angst welcome.
Length: One-shot
Status: Complete
First Line: Ron never noticed hands much before.

Here is the third story in the series, the story inspired by Sailing.

Hermione paced in her study, every once in a while shooting glares at the small piece of parchment on her desk. )
kaguya_yoru: (fadeintothenight)
Hmm, I finally wrote the second story in this series. I had a lot of plotbunnies for this one, but it wouldn't come out right, until I realized that I needed dialogue. I'm a dialogue queen. So this is the story that's inspired by NSYNC's You Got It.

Mrs. Weasley moved around the kitchen, cleaning up dishes and every so often, smiling warmly at Tonks. )
kaguya_yoru: (fadeintothenight)
So I finally wrote the first story in my *NSYNC [Germany] series. Here it is, the story inspired by Tearin' Up My Heart:

Ron awoke with a start. )

Robin Hobb wrote a rant about fanfiction. While I understand to some extent her view about fanfiction, there are some of her points that I heartily disagree with.

So I looked for interviews with J K Rowling and decided to glean them for interesting facts and tantalizing hints from her lips:

Aparecium! )
kaguya_yoru: (fadeintothenight)
So JK Rowling finally revealed Draco Malfoy's birthday. So I've decided to compile random canon facts about the characters, for lack of anything better to do:

Cut, probably for length... )

I guess I did this because there are so many characters in the series that we're never going to meet personally. Even Hermione and Ron's thought processes are veiled sometimes. Since everything is told through Harry's view, we're seeing his life through his perspective. That means that there are so many characters that we only see one side of or a very skewed vision. I wish there was some way where we could meet all the characters.

I find it extremely telling that on the morning of my father's birthday, I wake up to find a cockroach in my bed. Huh. My mom wants me to wish him a happy birthday, but I really don't want to speak to him. He called me last night, sounding as if he was about to keel over and die. Is it sad that I don't find that depressing or worrying at all?

I had a very balanced breakfast today. Sausage links (meat), cheese omelette (dairy and poultry), buttered toast (bread and oils), oatmeal (grains), and 2 apples (fruits). The only thing I didn't have were vegetables. Of course, I ate this at 3 30 pm...

I did start writing my story today, but I haven't quite worked out the details yet. I have the first scene down, but I just haven't put it to paper yet. Instead, I worked out this:

This is what happens when I get bored... )

I need a life.

So this just came to me and I had to write it. Yay being able to write without guilt!

The Catholic Church performed same-sex unions up until the 9th Century.

Romans allowed for gay marriage, but it was looked down upon.

In one tribe in Africa, barren women would marry another woman. The other woman could be impregnated by a surrogate father, but the child would be raised as if the barren woman was its father.

The NY legislature has never made same sex marriage illegal. Instead, it is illegal due to a judicial decision that annulled the marriage between a transgendered male and another man who was oblivious to his "wife's" true sex until after they were married.

If this is true, then what Dan said is true also. The Church is extremely hypocritical.

This reminded me of the Power Rangers. Every show had the exact same format. Even when I was watching it every day, I couldn't help making fun of it. I only watched it for Tommy anyway, after a while.

Boys and girls, the wait is over at last! I have found another fic to MST. It's horrific, so I know you'll love it as much as I do. Without furthur ado:

You scored as Canada. You’re polite, friendly and pretty much an all around nice person.  Everyone wants you at the party but at the same time no one really cares if you don’t show.  You might consider hitting the gym once in a while.

Well, I wasn't expecting it to come out that way, but oh well.

So, one day I was bored in Garrett's room and I decided to look up my name, not expecting to find anything.

But I did find something.

I found this.

I don't remember writing that at all, let only it being published on the internet, but I think it has to be me, because this bitch stole my name to put in her story!

At least my story has been read more often than hers. So there!

Then my name is randomly on this Italian site. If anybody knows Italian and can translate the sentence with my name in it for me, I'd be thankful.

I need to go clean.

I was talking with Edgar the other day about an email that was forwarded to me. It was one of those things that listed your characteristics based on what month you were in. It said that I was romantic, but that I have difficulty expressing my love. Well, I don't know about the second part, but Edgar said that I was definitely romantic based on the romantic scenes that I've written in the stories on my livejournal. So this came to me today, something that has absolutely no romance but is just pure sex. PWP, baby. That's where it's at.

Warning: Extremely hot sex ahead. Proceed with caution and preferably a glass of ice water. )

Feedback is like chocolate. Not really needed, but definitely appreciated. This goes for you too, Mon, Edgar, and Garrett!

So I was just pondering why I like writing and reading slash stories. What is it about guy on guy action, whether it's romantic or not, that's so appealing? I don't feel the same urge to read or write girl on girl action. Is it because I am a girl that that just doesn't appeal to me as much? Don't get me wrong, I'll read anything, including girl on girl action, but I don't actively search it out. I think it may have to do with two things. One, lesbianism is something that's glorified in our society while being gay is hailed as being bad or wrong in some way. You always hear about how guys are looking for girl on girl action cause it's so hot, but seeing two guys together is gross. That's something that's rooted in the history of our nation, also, something that I'm not sure that I want to go into at this time. Maybe cause I live with a girl's body everyday, I don't really see the appeal unless the girl is dancing. Male strippers are not a turn on for me...unless they're built like JC cause he's so damn sexy. Female strippers are so much more appealing. The idea of two guys together...that is so fucking hot. I want to date a bi guy one day just so I can see him with another guy up close and in person. Unh, I can't even put into words how sexy that is, just read my stories and you'll get the picture somewhat. ^_^

Two, slash, in general, is written much, much better than het. That's beacuse they're usually written by actual writers and not 12 year old teenyboppers who just want to imagine themselves with their favorite popstar or character. The plots are better, the sex is better (none of that "Oh, OH, BABy, YES! I'M CUMING!!11!!!), and the stories are usually more thought out because the writers usually have to overcome that major hurdle of actually making their characters gay and the complications that come along with that.

In other news, Rashidah apparently found my soulmate at Brown. He's me in man form, according to her. I've seen his pic on thefacebook.com. He's cute, I guess, (another dreadlocked guy, Mon!) but attractiveness to me is based more on personality. I can appreciate physical beauty, in fact, I talk constantly about guys who are jacked, but I always seem to fall for guys who look nothing like the guys I say that I'm physically attracted to. Personality is so much more appealing than physical beauty. I'd rather date a guy who can make me laugh and has a great personality, but who's not exactly Mr. Universe, than the hottest guy in the world who has the personality of a door. Although a nice ass helps a LOT. I'm such an ass girl. It's bad, I really need to stop staring at people's asses.

I should do homework, but I really want to socialize instead. I'm actually going to a DSAGA (Diverse Sexualities and Genders Alliance, I think) meeting tonight. That should be fun. They're also showing Victor, Victoria tomorrow night, a great and hilarious movie. I'll get around to homework, eventually.

Oh, yeah. Remember Road Trip? It's back in all its badness...

Road Trip Chapt 4 )

Thoughts I forgot to write before:

So I learned just how homophobic my family is. That was interesting. Here is a quote from my grandmother. "There must be something wrong with them." And then my aunt agreed, "Must be." Yeah. And you know what the greatest thing is? I have two cousins who are openly gay. Figure that one out.

I lost weight. And now, for the first time in about a year, I'm not overweight. Granted I was only five pounds oerweight before, but I don't want to start thinking now, "Oh, five pounds isn't that bad." Cause then suddenly I'll be fifty pounds overweight and I'll look like a cow. Trust me, in my family, that could happen very easily.

I am still working on stories. I have three bunnies in my head right now, hopping and wiggling their noses at me. But I've decided that I really need to learn how to proofread my own work, so I'll probably take longer with these so that I can get them just right. And I've been writing the Grease parody on the side. I also don't believe in posting more than one unfinished story at a time, so when I write this long story, it will be worked on until it is finished in its entirety before I go on to the next story.

I didn't go to Little Shop of Horrors yesterday because Joey wasn't performing. Instead, I'm going to see it tomorrow with Lisa. 20 rows from the stage and Joey goodness. SQUUUUUUEEEEEE!!!!!! We did hang out in Manhattan after buying our tickets yesterday and it was a lot of fun. I hadn't seen her in a long time. I went to the Olive Garden yesterday for the first time in my life and the food was really good.

I bought my Student Advantage Card today. Four years for the price of three and the Animal House DVD for 10 bucks. Not a bad deal. Thanks Lisa for reminding me.

Having a Check Card is like a gift from the heavens. I've already pre-ordered The Sims 2 and bought my SA card with it. But I need to be frugal. Cause I don't have money like that. Wish I did. Then maybe I wouldn't be freaking out over paying my tuition so much.

I leave for college on Monday. Have I started packing? Of course not. Will I be running around this weekend like a chicken with her head cut off? Yes.
